From mid-February, adding to the team from CSI Las Vegas is a new colleague. Elisabeth Shue will succeed by Marg Helgenberger, who is leaving the show after twelve years.

After Marg Helgenberger had announced in August that they result from "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" will adopt (Serienjunkies on August 4, 2011), the producers have now found a successor for her team.

Catherine Willows, Helgenberger's character will go in January. Elisabeth Shue in their place soon will take up the service.

As the CBS announced the 48-year-old will play a crime scene investigator who has just completed only one Anger Management Course. She does not hesitate, tell people the brutal truth in the face. And is rumored to be in Seattle ever for DB Have Russell (Ted Danson) is used, where did this but they fired.

"The first time it ran between the two not so good," said Executive Producer Don McGill, "But maybe there are two things all good. Or not. "His colleague, Carol Mendelsohn added that it was hard to say goodbye to Willows / Helgenberger. "But it's exciting to begin the journey with a new CSI, especially if it is still played by Elisabeth Shue."

Shue has become known in the past mainly by parts in movies: She was in "Karate Kid" (1984), "Cocktail" (1988), "Back to the Future II" (and III), "Leaving Las Vegas" (1995), "Deconstructing Harry" (1997), "Hollow Man" (2000) and "Hide and Seek" (2005) with it. On television she had including "Curb Your Enthusiasm," a guest appearance.

She is on 15 February for the first time in the U.S. in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" to be seen.
