Lisa Vanderpump, the owner of two successful Los Angeles restaurants, was always more than just a housewife on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
It turns out that the successful Bravo reality series is not even her first foray into television. The sassy Brit was once the muse for British new wave band ABC and appeared in several of their 1980s music videos.
In the video for the band’s 1982 hit single “Poison Arrow,” which resurfaced this week, Vanderpump plays Samantha, a seductress who shrinks ABC’s lead singer with one blow of her magical compact powder and later poses with a bow and arrow.
With her past life as an ’80s music video star revealed, Vanderpump has ingratiated herself even more to fans.
“We didn’t think that this was even possible, but we just became even MORE obsessed with Lisa Vanderpump!” Perez Hilton wrote on his blog. “You were fierce — even at 22!”
On her website, Vanderpump said she had an unusual childhood, “attending a drama school full time from the age of nine.”
“I loved acting in many children’s films and television series when I was growing up,” she wrote.
According to IMDb, Vanderpump appeared in many television series in the ’80s and ’90s, including “Baywatch Nights” and “Silk Stalkings.” She even made her way on to the big screen, appearing in the 1995 flop “Separate Lives” with James Belushi and Linda Hamilton.
