Demarcus Ware

Cowboys’ linebacker DeMarcus Ware said the Redskins’ linemen got away with holding him frequently during Dallas’s 18-16 victory over Washington Monday night.
Ware, one of the NFL’s top pass-rushers, entered the game with a league-high four sacks in two games, but the Redskins held him in check for the most part, limiting him to three tackles and a sack.
“If you had guys with some hands that could snatch me down, pull me down, that’s what they did,” Ware told ESPN Dallas. “But they had some great players on their team, and they did play really strong.”

Left tackle Trent Williams appeared to fare well against Ware for the most part. The most noticeable exception came in the fourth-quarter when Ware beat Williams and the left tackle lunged at Ware’s feet to prevent him getting to Rex Grossman.
Right tackle Jammal Brown fell down on one play that resulted in a sack for Ware as the Redskins tried to protect a 16-15 lead with roughly seven minutes left on the clock.
When asked about his outward frustration, Ware said, “Sometimes, animation comes out when people bring it out [of you],” Ware said. “And you have to show them you’re not going to get run over and you’re not going to do the things you want to do to me. At the end of the day, it’s football, you’re a gladiator out there fighting and it’s the best man wins.”
