Yemen Blast
Reports indicate there have been multiple blasts inside a Yemeni weapons factory in the southern city of Jaar. AFPsays the death toll is at least 40 people, including children. It's unclear what - or who caused the blast. The AFP reportblames al-Qaida; AP says the plant was looted by a militant group not linked to al-Qaida.
Yemen's President has changed his mind: Last week, President Ali Abdullah Saleh said he'd leave power by the end of the year but he withdrew the offer over the weekend. The APsuggests talks that were supposed to transfer control away from Saleh collapsed.
In Afghanistan, at least 20 people died in a truck bombingsouth of the capital, Kabul. The BBC says as many as 50 people were hurt in the Sunday night explosion.
