In the wake to generate awareness among masses against the perils posed by the Diabetes, everyone was urged on the National Diabetes Alert Day that was celebrated on Tuesday to undergo Diabetes risk test to analyze their chances of developing diabetes.
The simple test which questions you about primitive queries like your weight, age and family history, is capable of figuring out your risk rates of acquiring Type 2 diabetes.
As per the medical experts, diabetes is the condition in which a person suffers from high blood sugar. The situation is triggered by either because the body’s incapability to produce insulin or cells’ lack of response towards produced insulin.
It is basically of two types i. e. Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes. The condition where a body fails to produce insulin is referred as Type 1 whereas the cells’ failure to respond comes under Type 2.
Characterized by frequent urination, increased thirst and ascended hunger, diabetes affect more than 26 million children and adults in the US alone, making it the sixth largest cause of deaths there.
Because of the serious consequences that follow this disease, early diagnosis has been strongly recommended by the medical experts across the globe.
As per the figures in addition to those 26 diabetes patients, 79 million are also there who are suffering from pre-diabetes.
Pre-diabetes is a condition in which, some of the diagnostic criteria for diabetes are satisfied. People suffering from it are not only at the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes but also some lethal heart complications.
