All My Children

All My Children
ABC’s “All My Children” may have to say goodbye. Rumors are swirling that the hit show could be cancelled. “All My Children” has been a daytime TV staple since 1970, but various reports claim that ABC is considering reducing its afternoon drama lineup from three to two hours, to make room for a new talk show, People Magazine reported.
However, a rep for ABC Daytime said that as of now, “there is no change for the current ABC daytime schedule.”
Still, according to the Los Angeles Times, the show has recently received low ratings. Targeting a specific demographic geared towards women ages 18-49, “All My Children” is just a notch below from fellow ABC soap “One Life to Live” in the daytime ratings.
Deadline reports that “All My Children” and ABC’s other daytime dramas get a second airing on SOAPnet, but that channel is changing its format to Disney Junior.
TV Squad will report the show’s fate tomorrow. If “All My Children” does get cancelled, ABC could move “One Life to Live” to California.
