Not known for her brains - or her love of science - The Hills star teamed up with U.S. TV presenter filmed a hilarious FunnyorDie.com video about her secret passion.
She kept a straight face as she led a tour around a top secret science facility and explained, "I've always loved science growing up. It just never really came up on The Hills."
Patridge revealed she has been working on a project dedicated to developing the next generation of liquid hydrogen-fuelled rocket engines.
She joked, "I know people don't really look at me and go, 'Oh, that's the girl who does all the advanced engineering.' But it's OK, this is who I really am."
