UFC 139 Results

UFC 139
UFC 139: It was a good event with lots of fighting and winning two major battles, which evolved into hot contenders for the fight of the year. In the main event, former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson, the former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua beat in unison with 48-47 points.

Go down in history books is the struggle not only for its quality but also because he was the first non-title fight over the full distance of five rounds and the fourth and fifth round the fight turned completely.

In the first three rounds Henderson dominated his opponent at will. He was off in the opening round of the opportunity, Shogun, but the contractor showed incredible skills.

This, he underlined then in the third round, when Henderson him with a hard right to the ground and sent from there follow a barrage of blows to the head left, which would not survive the majority of the fighters.

But Shogun was ravaged in the fight, and while Henderson had spent himself completely in this situation to close down the sack, it managed the Brazilians towards the end of the round to get his second run.

Excellent referee

Rua dominated the visibly exhausted 41-year-olds over the last ten minutes away with a clarity that was hard to beat. The fight was in the fifth round several times shortly before the crash, as Rua sat in the full mount on Henderson and purchase before him with ground and pound.

But referee Josh Rosenthal showed excellent performance and realized that Henderson was still intelligently defending at all and was always exhausted anxious to improve his own position. The tension grew immeasurably when Rua wanted to create one minute before closing on Henderson sitting facts.

The fans was clear that Henderson, so he could save over time, would leave the Octagon as a winner on points. In the worst case - namely, when the judges would give the final round with 10-8 points to Rua, - there would be a draw.

Rua was everything to stop the fight but still early, but Henderson played his experience and channelized the last bit of remaining energy, to pin down Rua on the ground. The final round gong acknowledged the audience in the HP Pavilion in San Jose with frenetic jubilation - was clear to them that they have just witnessed one of the best fights of UFC history.
Cung Le with an impressive debut

But despite all the effusive praise should leave the church in the village. Both fighters have by the way, as they had bitten, gained fame. World Champion Jon Jones, however, they would have probably eaten in this form for breakfast.

The chances are now good that Henderson and Rua will meet again in the spring of 2012 over five rounds each, then Rashad Evans while fighting for the championship. Strikeforce's Cung Le legend Wanderlei Silva showed towards the second major battle an equally impressive UFC debut.

It was clear from the outset how the strategy would have to look both Le would try to hit from a distance with his wild kicks and Silva not to have come to him, while the Brazilians would seek the infight try and would Le fast impact hits to overcome.

In fact, the fight went exactly over long distances as it was to be expected. Le used just in the first round of spectacular kicks, to disorient the former PRIDE champion Silva and actions such as spinning and spinning back Backfist Elbows, then add to it from up close.

Important win for Silva

But Silva did not splash out and pushed his hand several times after Le aggressive percussion volleys on the defensive. At the end of the first round, they were significantly slower, a tribute to their long careers, and the rapid and strenuous round.

The fight went on in round two distinctly leisurely. Le had particular difficulties, not pre-announce his kicks through body language.

Silva took the helm, Le struck with a right to the ground, then sat with knee joints from the Thai clinch, and Le went to another shock for a second and final time to the ground. Wanderlei Silva revealed his opponents there with savage blows, and the referee was in between.

Of course, you can now ride around the fact that both have their best days behind them and the fight would have been much better five years ago, but what they gave the fans in San Jose, was still excellent and exciting.

A memorable debut for the San Shou Legend Cung Le and an important port for Silva victory, which was already several times been suggested to the resignation.
California Kid trumps

Urijah Faber cemented his claim to a third and final fight against bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz by Brian Bowles via two rounds of stroke demonstrated on and thread.

The "California Kid" said former world featherweight champion Bowles got in the second round with a guillotine choke and forced to take him there after 1:47 minutes for the task.

Faber had recently lost on points against Cruz in July and is now under enormous pressure because of the upcoming rematch will be his last chance. A must win her - otherwise he has no future in the sport UFC.

The Dane Martin Kampmann won a deserved points victory against Rick Story. Kampmann dominated by a story nearly lost first round in the legs as well as rings and driven to the ground and secured the final two rounds. One judge gave the fight with 29-28 of story, which lacked any basis.
Bader is back

Stephan Bonnar defeated Kyle Kingsbury in an extremely one-sided battle for points. The majority of the fight played out on the floor, with Bonnar in side mount.

Despite the significant victory Bonnar will have to put up with criticism that it failed him over twelve minutes on the mat just a lever to be set, or otherwise dangerous to Kingsbury.

Ryan Bader came forward after two defeats in a row with an impressive back against Jason Brilz Knockoutsieg. After only 1:17 minutes Bader caught his opponent with a right hand to the ear, and the lights went out immediately. Brilz protested against the demolition, but the judges decision was entirely in order.

Michael McDonald, the youngest fighter in the UFC, made short work with Alex Soto. After 50 seconds, he sent him with a right to the ground, and seven seconds later the referee finally went in between.
The Ultimate Fighter Finale on 3 December

Joker Tom Lawlor, the time came to "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John took to the Octagon, no remedy against the top wrestler Chris Weidman. After only 2:07 minutes, he found himself in a D'Arce choke in it and lost consciousness.

Gleison Tibau won the duel in a split points victory against Brazilian Raphael Dos Anjos. In the second round Tibau took his opponent into considerable difficulties, but Dos Anjos survived the blow volley and saved over time.

Former WEC bantamweight champion, Miguel Torres, won by unanimous decision against Nick Pace. Seth Baczynski won in the second round with a guillotine choke the surprise victory against Matt Brown. In the opening fight, Danny Castillo took 4:52 minutes after the first round by technical knockout due to Shamar Bailey.

After four weekends in a row UFC is waiting for us, a two-week break until the third December on the final SPOX the fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter comes. This event will also coaches Michael Bisping and Mayhem Miller, climb into the Octagon against each other. It will be fascinating!
