The Muppet Movie

The Muppet Movie
Since its debut in 1975, the Muppets have won over the audience and the entertainment industry with its striking appearance and colorful personality.

The creatures created by Jim Henson and his team of puppeteers, continue to show that fun for adults and children comes in the form of dolls.

Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Figaredo, Animal and all his gang, remember, with the upcoming release of his first film in 12 years, and a plan for a new NBC series, which never left the stage or the hearts of his followers.

Beyond the Felt. The Muppets have had a career more successful and prolific that many players in the flesh, from his appearance on The Muppet Show in the 80's.

Disney Studios, which purchased the rights of these figures in 2003, the film premiered on Wednesday, The Muppets Movie, and the fact renewed fever products associated with them.

The project, co-written by and starring Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother), has received overwhelmingly positive reviews.

"It's the same old, lovable Muppets, so sweetly innocent and nice as always ... The errors are minimal, "said Stephen Holden, a critic of The New York Times.

Amid this wave of interest, interspersed with the nostalgia of the old viewers and potential new fans, NBC has requested the scripts to develop a program in primetime.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the series, titled The New Nabors, would focus on a family of Palm Springs who discovers that his neighbors are the Muppets.

The space would be produced by Jim Henson company, led by the daughter of puppeteer, in conjunction with Universal Television.

Although the future looks bright for the Muppets, it is naive to think that their stars have remained dormant over the years. René and his friends have appeared frequently on talk shows and in several TV series.

Piggy and Rene have been invited on The Late Show with Larry King, The View, the variety show Dolly Parton and the late-night Jimmy Fallon, where they have been widely discussed their relationship.

The frog was also the guest of one of the episodes of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, which helped build a house. Similarly, the diva with an air of pig has been invited on Phineas and Ferb and Sony among the stars, the Disney Channel.

Some of the characters have even published their autobiographies. René wrote in 2006 Before You Leap: A Frog's Eye View of Life's Greatest Lessons (Before jumping: the vision of a frog on life's great). The book recounts the life of a reptile, its beginnings in the swamp and his path to stardom in Hollywood. Meanwhile, Piggy made a Diva Code: the 10 000 frogs do crap in 2009. This publication ended in the bestseller list of The New York Times.

At the peak of The Muppet Show, many celebrities fought for appearing in the variety show, with puppets. This revolutionized the world of television, because in the beginning, Henson was rejected by writers of shows like Saturday Night Live, who refused to produce material "for felt."

The guest list included in the five seasons with Elton John, Alice Cooper, Julie Andrews, Sylvester Stallone and Twiggy.

The Muppets have gone Avantes yet the magic of the original masters (Jim Henson, who died in 1990, and Frank Oz, who retired in 2002). The creations have graced the legacy of optimism of his puppeteers, spreading laughter under the premise that a program René said: "The show must go on, but never tell you why."
