Hunger Games Trailer |
The "The Hunger" books are among the largest youth book hits the "Harry Potter" and Stephenie Meyer's "Up (s) ..." novels. It's about the totalitarian state Panem, which organizes every year the so-called "Hunger Games" - a modern gladiator fight with 24 young people, of which only one can survive at the end.
"Battle Royale" has made this story an outrageously cynical "10-small-Niggers" splatter feast made, but in "The Hunger" of course is mainly about love, courage and tearful demise. Jennifer Lawrence ("Winter's Bone") plays the heroine Katniss who join in for her young sister at the games, and Josh Hutcherson ("The Kids Are All Right") is Peeta, Katniss' childhood friend and admirer, who at once to their Totfeind is.
The very first trailer has been released for the film and at least for fans of the books should be all in butter. The (large?) But the rest is easily confused and scratching their heads fervently hope that the already accomplished in 2 ½ minutes drive Klischeeabgründe crude Dramatugie not like how the "Twilight" movies. To that at 1:54 the most embarrassing bit of cinema-going year is to see, makes things no better.
As a glimmer of hope remains the real struggle that is so completely devoid of the trailer and all the banter before most certainly will pour over with gushing fountains of blood. Or something like that. Depending on just how much would like to state director Gary Ross ("Pleasantville," "Seabiscuit") to his reputation as a mainstream wuss.
Also starring in "The Hunger" play Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Stanley Tucci.
