Dean Ornish

Steve Jobs died on Wednesday in the arms of his family in Palo Alto.Since February, he had been preparing for this moment, say goodbye to the people who meant most to him.
Here is a phone call from a close colleague, click again to share a meal with a friend.
His friend and doctor Dean Ornish, he still invited to eat sushi in his favorite restaurant in Palo Alto. He met with Disney CEO Robert Iger, Apple Board Bill Campbell. He even gave some tips for the presentation of the iPhone 4S.
Sometimes, when it allowed his illness, he looked over at Apple's headquarters. Only briefly. It drew him back - for the common meal with his family.
Those who wanted to adopt in the final days of Steve Jobs, had to get rid of his wife Laurene. He was too weak. As reported to the "New York Times."
In the "Time" magazine, recalls Steve Jobs biographer Walter Isaacson at the last meeting with the Apple icon - just a few weeks ago.
Jobs at this time already in a downstairs bedroom of his house moved. He was too weak to climb the stairs.
"We talked about his childhood. He gave me photos of his father and his children, who should I use in the biography, "says Isaacson. "He writhed in pain, though his intellect and his humor were still very much alive."
As the two passed after the interview, Isaacson asked another question, which he had previously worked for long: After vehement foreclosure of his private life, why Jobs had many conversations towards him - and the public about - open so much?

The answer is probably reveal more of Steve Jobs than ever before: "I wanted my children to know me. I was not always there for them and wanted them to know why, and that they understand what I did. "
In the last weeks of his life, Steve has taken care of the people who were dependent on him, where he stood near - his wife, from his children Erin (16), Eve (13), Reed (20) and Lisa (33 a previous relationship) and the people who have worked at Apple for him.
His sister Mona said the "New York Times": "It felt terribly sorry for him that he had to leave us."
"Death is possibly the best invention of Life," has Steve Jobs once said. For him, the near death of a motivation to get back to reflect on what he meant in addition to his work the most: the love for his family.
"Steve Jobs," Walter Isaacson's biography appears on the founders of Apple on 24 October and includes previously unknown stories about his childhood, his youth. It is a story about a man who not only has outstanding career.
