Nokia, the world’s leading manufacturer of mobile phones has finally joined the dual SIM phones category with distinctive features. The famous phone company launched the first set of its range of Dual SIM phones at the Computer Village, Ikeja last week.

Presenting Nokia X1-01, C2-00 and the C2-03 dual SIM phones, to Journalists at the launch ceremony, Nokia’s  Head  of  Marketing  for  West  Africa, Mr. Reuben Onwubiko, disclosed that these phones have five different SIM cards and have  been very well received by Nokia faithfuls across the country.
According to him, the robust portfolio of Dual SIM  devices  would  meet  the  respective  needs  of  different consumers.

Onwubiko stressed that Nokia is not only leveraging on its track record of  consistent  innovation  in  the  production  of durable devices but has evolved  dual  SIM  phones  with  its  Dual Simple proposition with the new innovation  of  Nokia’s Easy Swap. He said the move validates the fact that Nokia  is a listening brand that will continually seek innovative solutions to customer needs.    

Speaking  further about the product range, the Product Manager, Mr. Olumide       Balogun, said  in  spite  of the new phones being  quite affordable and competitive amongst its peers,  the  features will certainly  delight Nokia faithful.  The phone, according to Mr. Balogun, has the  new  Easy  Swap  innovation  which   means  you can change SIMs without switching  off  the phone.

With the new Nokia Dual SIM Range, consumers can assign  ringtones  to  each  SIM  so  they  know which SIM is being called.    Consumers  can  also decide which phone to assign to calls, which to assign for  browsing  the  web  or  even  which to use to send sms’ based on their preferred  operator  offers  Other  features  include microSD support up to 32GB,  media  player, 3.5mm AV connector, GPRS, camera, micro USB connector slot  as  well as the new Nokia web browser which makes browsing faster and        more affordable.

The Nokia X1-01, C2-00 and C2-03 phones  come with Nokia’s proprietary Nokia Life  Tools  Service  which  gives  consumer  access,  tips and advice on Agriculture,  Education,  Entertainment  and Healthcare. Mr. Silvin  Sinan, Head  of Care explained that these features and benefits are only available in  genuine  Nokia devices and advised Nigerians to avoid being conned into buying counterfeit devices under any guise. He reminded consumers to      always be  original  and  buy authentic Nokia products with the 12 months warranty sticker  on  the  phone  box  and  even  go a step further by using the sms warranty  check,  using  their  IMEI to ensure that the physical product is indeed fully covered by Nokia 12month free warranty service.
