The Adani Enterprises Ltd, a flagship company of the US $ 6 billion Adani Group, has been conferred with the "Business Superbrand 2010" status by the Superbrands Council of India.

The award was presented by the chief guestMontek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the planning commission to Pranav Adani, director of AEL at a function held in New Delhi on Wednesday evening, stated a company release here.

Superbrands aims to identify and acknowledge those companies which have established the finest reputation in their respective fields. The awardees are selected by a council of experts which include marketing gurus and CEOs of few of the most successful global businesses.

"This recognition as a Superbrand reiterates Adani?s position of being one of India?s most trusted corporate brands. I would like to thank all our stakeholders who have posed their faith in our values; trust, courage and innovation." said Mr Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, a conglomerate that has leveraged its strong project execution capabilities in key traditional industry verticals like Infrastructure, Mining, Power, Ports and SEZ.

The selection of the ,Business Superbrand 2010? is a two-tier process, which comprises a survey through which corporates are first short-listed, followed by evaluation by the Superbrands Council against set benchmarks such as market dominance, market acceptance, goodwill, customer loyalty, etc. and finally selecting Business Superbrand for the year.

Superbrands is recognised as an independent arbiter on branding, promoting the discipline of brand management and paying tribute to exceptional brands across over 40 countries. The concept evolved in the UK in 1993, and came into India as Superbrand India in December 2002.
