UFC Results

Last night saw the UFC 129 event hosted in Ontario Canada where over 55,000 fans settled down to watch a night of entertainment. Today we have some of the UFC 129 results for you.
Sean Farrell of Ringside Report has an article with some of the results from last night’s event. The Ben Henderson vs Mark Bocek bout saw Henderson getting hyped up from round two, and in the final frame unloaded a volley of strikes to win 30-27 UD.
The matchup between Matsushenko and Brilz ended almost as quickly as it started, with Matsushenko getting a stoppage via KO in the first frame. Brilz couldn’t believe the decision and asked the ref what happened.
It was Randy Couture’s last fight, and he spent most of the opening exchanges with Machida not really achieving much. Couture’s last battle ended with him being KO’d in the second round. The fight for the UFC Featherweight Championship between Aldo and Hominick turned into a major battle between the pair. The fight went the full distance with Aldo winning by UD.
The main event between Georges St. Pierre and Jake Shields for the UFC Welterweight Championship was quite a one sided affair with the champion St.Pierre retaining his title with a unanimous decision.
