Jose Aldo vs Mark Hominick Fight Video

I am watching the UFC 129 live stream on UFC.TV, and the featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Mark Hominick is about to start. I’m bringing you the UFC 129 live results of this title fight, and I’m happy to do it!
Aldo is not intimidated by Hominick at all, and he says he can’t wait to defend his title against him. Hominick on the other hand is chomping at the bit for this chance to fight in his home country of Canada! He is from a small town near Toronto and this crowd of 55,000 seems to be definitely in his corner! Unfortunately, he has to beat Aldo, which I don’t think is possible. Here we go!
Round 1
Rogan advises us not to blink. That is good advice. Aldo lands a right and an overcut. Then Aldo lands a leg kick then Aldo lands and uppercut. Then a combo body shot and leg kick. Hominick finally gets in an uppercut. Aldo tries to kick and gets caught, falls down and bounces up. This fight is going FAST. Hominick tries a combo but his leg is hurting from being kicked so much. Aldo rushes him and takes him down. Hominick tries for an arm bar from underneath and Aldo defends nicely. Hominick in closed guard, absorbing some ground and pound. Hominick opens his guard and almost gets Aldo pushed up and off, but Aldo wiggles back down and they grapple some more. The ref urges them to get working, so Aldo opens a cut under Hominick’s eye with his elbow. More grappling and the ref stands them up, which the crowd approves. Aldo lands a leg kick, Hominick answers with a left hook and Aldo takes him down. They grapple for a few seconds and the round is over.
Round 2
Aldo opens with one of his lightning leg kicks. Hominick answers with an uppercut, then a left hook to the body that backs Aldo up. Aldo answers with a combo, but Hominick’s arms are moving a lot more this round. Hominick is working him this round, it seems Aldo is a little tired. Then Hominick stops a takedown, and stops Aldo for a second with a combo. Hominick tags Aldo again, and is boxing him pretty good. Aldo gets tired of it and takes him down. Hominick in closed guard, and it seems his strategy is to tie this up and force the stand up. Aldo gets a warning from the ref for the placement of his fingers. The ref stands them up. Aldo checks the clock. A minute left. Hominick’s pounding on Aldo and he ducks in and takes him down again. Aldo in side control, but Hominick’s feet are on the fence and with 10 seconds left it seems they’re just running out the clock.
Round 3
Hominick’s corner tells him Aldo is fading, and Aldo does have a cut under his right eye. Aldo is not looking so good in this fight..he seems off. Aldo lands a big uppercut. Hominick answers with a jab. Inside leg kick from Hominick, Aldo answers with same. Hominick jabs and finds and opening. Aldo is moving his head more, lands a left and right combo. Hominick counters, then Aldo tries for a takedown and Hominick manages to stay upright. Back to the center, Hominick boxing and Aldo rocks him with his left upperhook/leg kick combo. Aldo tags Hominick with a jab, then Hominick tags Aldo. They’re boxing about equally this round. Aldo rushes him, and against the cage Hominick avoids it. Back to the center and Hominick is managing to avoid Aldo’s punches fairly well, although he didn’t avoid a left hook to the temple then an elbow to the nose. Whoa! His knees go weak and he goes down, and Aldo pounces on him, and ground and pounds him. Hominick stays alert though and gives a thumb up. It was almost over there! Hominick in closed guard in the middle of the octagon, and he boxes Aldo’s ears and they just stay tied up until the end of the round.
Round 4
Hominick opens with a left hook and they box. Aldo kicks, which Hominick opens with same. Aldo lands a right on Hominick’s chin, follows up with a fairly low body shot. He apologizes. They box some more. Hominick’s eye is bleeding pretty good and he’s missing his shots. Aldo tries to land a knee to Hominick’s body and it’s too low. The ref stops the fight for a minute but Hominick is ok. Back at it and Aldo is relying heavily on his left hook and right kick combo, it’s working. Hominick is limping. Aldo lands a double jab and rocks Hominick back. Aldo pounces on him and takes him down. Up against the cage, Hominick is absorbing elbows like crazy and there’s a giant bump on his forehead…it’s pretty ugly. It’s blowing up quick and I think the ref is going to stop the fight. Hominick is defending well though and it doesn’t seem to be bothering him. The ref stops the fight and calls the doctor. Wow…it’s like a second head growing off his forehead. The doc doesn’t stop the fight! Hominick wants to continue. I hope Aldo doesn’t punch it and pop it! Ugh. They box for a second then Aldo takes him down and finishes the round on top.
Round 5
The doc checks Hominick again and the fight continues. Hominick might lose this fight but his spirit is huge. Aldo takes no mercy and keeps kicking the crap out of him. Aldo lands a big uppercut, and Hominick takes him down. Blood is flying, not sure from where. Hominick on top with Aldo is in half guard. Hominick has a bad cut on his cheek, even Aldo doesn’t like it. Hominick executes some ground and pound and the crowd goes wild. Aldo’s ground defense not looking so good as his offense! Hominick is throwing hammer fists and trying hard to finish this fight, Aldo almost pushes him off but Hominick goes round back to pounding him. Aldo in full guard and taking some nasty punches to his face! Aldo trying to slow it down with wrist control but he’s exhausted and Hominick keeps pounding! Over a minute to go and Hominick is trying to force a stoppage with his pounding. Huge shots to the body, Aldo is really taking a beating but he’s still defending…just not very well. He’s surviving and the first title fight in the featherweight division is over! They separate and do push ups. Too funny.
Decision
Well Hominick definitely took that last round, but it seems that won’t be enough. The judges rule it 50-43, 48-46, 49-46 for Jose Aldo. Jose Aldo defends his title by unanimous decision. Whew!
Aldo tells Rogan that Hominick is a helluva fighter and he takes his hat off to him. Rogan asks him about the weight cut and how he seemed to get tired, and Aldo says it wasn’t the weight cut, it was having time off and putting on too much muscle.
Hominick is messed up! He thanks the ref for not stopping the fight and gives a message to his wife that he hopes he didn’t put her into labor.
