The Hunger Games

Filming is set to begin today on The Hunger Games movie -- though if you ask the folks at Lionsgate to confirm this news, they're remarkably tight-lipped about it.
The production known as "Artemis" -- the believed working title for The Hunger Games -- has been setting up shop in North Carolina recently, with area news outlets reporting on the building excitement. And earlier reports indicated that today, May 19th, was set to be the first day of filming.
Russ Bowen, a reporter for North Carolina's News 13, has been tweeting photos and updates from the rumored filming location as well. "News-13 went on location where some of the scenes from the movie are being shot in Hildebran, which is in Burke County," he said in a MY40 report. "Crews are currently preparing the old Henry River Mill site for filming. It's believed the area will be used for what's known in the book as District 12."
Other reports have also indicated that cast members for The Hunger Games have already been working in North Carolina, doing rehearsals and stunt training for the film. Fans have also finally gotten their first glimpse at star Jennifer Lawrence in costume as Katniss Everdeen, thanks to the release of the cover image from this week's Entertainment Weeklymagazine.
Tell us in the comments what scenes you're most looking forward to seeing on the big screen!
