Hdugaru Kannada Movie

There’s always some trend that keeps the Kannada film industry busy. Love stories ruled the early 2000s. Following close was a series that was inspired by the underworld. The latest trend that seems to have caught on is of picking up low budget Tamil films and remaking them in Kannada. Today’s Kannada release — Hudugaru, which is the remake the Tamil film Nadodigal, goes on to prove just that.
Producer Raghavendra Rajkumar says, “It was the theme of this film that inspired us most. The film, although set against a rural backdrop, has something that most guys would relate to.” Close on the heels of Hudugaru is yet another remake called Jolly Boy, which is a take off on the low budget Tamil film Pathinaaru.
Producer, K Manju says, “The Tamil film won great critical acclaim. I felt that the Kannada audience will connect with it.” In fact, Manju has taken on another such project. He will be remaking a low budget Tamil hit Mynaa, in Kannada. “Actor Ganesh has been signed on for the lead role. Actor Amala Paul, who played the female lead in the original, will be a part of this version too,” he reveals.
Another Tamil original that is making its way here is Kalavani, as Kiratakain Kannada. Kannada actor Yash will team up with actor Oviya for the lead roles. “I was simply too floored by the script. It is a simple story, which is told so beautifully,” says Yash. We’ve also learnt that the remake rights of the Tamil hit film Goa has been bought by a production house here.
An actor, on the basis of anonymity, reveals, “This was one film that everyone across Tamil Nadu enjoyed throughly. It is a complete boys’ film and this was what prompted us to get the rights. We’re waiting for the team involved to complete current assignments before we announce the project.”
