Citizens Bank

A man got away with an undisclosed sum of money after robbing the Citizens Bank branch in South Braintree Square late Friday afternoon.
The robbery took place shortly after 5 p.m. at the bank, 865 Washington St.
Braintree Deputy Police Chief Russell Jenkins said the robber passed the teller a note demanding money.
“The teller gave the man a sum of money and then he fled the bank and ran towards Taylor Street,” Jenkins said. “No weapon was shown, and no one was injured.”
The robber was described as white, male about 5-foot-9, with a thin, almost skinny build and a clean-shaven face with acne. He was wearing a white T-shirt with some type of image on the front, dark blue jeans and a bright red baseball cap. The man had clear tape on his fingertips, and large adhesive bandages on his left forearm and on the right side of his neck.
Anyone with information is asked to call Braintree police at 781-843-1212.
It was the town’s second bank robbery in three days. The Rockland Trust Bank at 405 Washington St. was robbed May 24 by a man who passed a note to a teller demanding large bills only. No weapon was shown, and no one was injured. The man fled out of the front door of the bank.
That robber is described as a white male in his early 30s, 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, and wearing a blue Red Sox jacket, a blue Red Sox baseball cap and sunglasses. He had black electrical tape on his fingers.
