Chan Brothers

NTUC FairPrice, one of the largest retailers in Singapore, and travel agency Chan Brothers Travel emerged as Singapore platinum winners of the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands 2011 Awards.
They were voted by consumers to be among the 13 most trusted brands that deliver uncompromising quality, value and affordability in today's market.
Past platinum winners include top Singapore global brand names, Singapore Airlines and National University of Singapore.
In times of rising inflation in Singapore and in Asia, and increasing importance placed on value for money purchases, they won the consumers' top choices and the Platinum awards in their respective categories, based on the number of votes polled and the six attributes of trustworthiness & credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovative and social responsibility in the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands survey, which is in its 13th consecutive year.
8,000 respondents were interviewed in Asia with 1,000 of them from Singapore.
Chan Brothers is the only brand in the travel agent category to be awarded the platinum award for the 3rd consecutive year in Reader's Digest Trust Brands survey since the travel agent category was introduced.
For NTUC FairPrice, this is the 4th time it won the platinum award for supermarket chains. FairPrice housebrand cooking oil and rice have also won gold Reader's Digest Trusted Brands awards in their respective categories. They are the only housebrands to receive the award while the other products are national brands.
