Brothers And Sisters

Brothers And Sisters
ABC has denied it has axed soapy/drama series Brothers and Sisters after actress Rachel Griffiths hinted at the weekend the series wasn't being renewed.

At the Australian version of the Emmy Awards the actress joked "I'm soon to be unemployed" hinting that the ABC drama Brothers and Sisters had been axed. ABC has yet to order a sixth season of the drama and it looks increasingly likely that it won't. Brothers and Sisters has been one drama that has been on the "bubble" several times before meaning its fate (either renewal of cancellation) could have gone either way. Despite its "bubble" existence the show has made it to five seasons but a sixth looks increasingly out of reach.

Rachel Griffiths plays Sarah Walker on the drama alongside Sally Fields, Calista Flockhart and Matthew Rhys. An ABC spokesperson told TVLine that "No decision has been made.” over the future of Brothers and Sisters. However, ABC also denied it had plans to axe either All My Children or One Life to Live just weeks before it announced the double cancellation of the two daytime soaps.

ABC is expected to announce its full line-up of renewed later this month and fans of Brothers and Sisters will find out its fate then.
