Brigitte Bardot

German multi-millionaire photographer and astrologist afficionado Gunter Sachs, former husband of French star Brigitte Bardot, has committed suicide Saturday, at the age of 78.
This news was broken Sunday by Belgian paper Le Soir, Sachs killed himself at his home in Gstaad, southwestern Switzerland.
The Brigitte Bardot Foundation has stated that the French actor is deeply terrified at the news.
Fritz Gunter Sachs, grandson to Opel founder Adam Opel, is Bardot's third husband.
Sachs had an educational background in mathematics and economics and was an industrial enterpreneur himself.
A person of many talents and passions, he was known as an outstanding photographer and an avid art collector and patron.
Sachs's passion for astrology and knowledge in mathematics led him to found the Institute for the Empirical and Mathematical Examination of the Possible Truth of Astrology in Relation to Human Behaviour.
He and Bardot met in 1966 and became swiftly infatuated with each other.
Some days upon their meeting, Sachs had hundreds of red roses sprinkled by helicopter over Bardot's estate in Saint Tropez.
Their marriage lasted until 1969.
Soon after, Sachs married Swedish model Mirja Larsson, who bore his two sons Christian and Alexander and stayed with him until the end of his life.
