Salman Khan couldn’t provide newbie Zarine Khan with a dream start she was hoping for in Veer. So now, he’s making up for it by recommending her to directors and producers.
We all know how instrumental Salman has been in shaping the career ofKatrina Kaif. With Partner, he also gave a new lease of life to the sagged career of good friend Govinda. Now, Salman seems to have taken Zarine Khan -- who bears a striking resemblance to Katrina -- under his wing.

First, he recommended Zarine to his producer friend Sajid Nadiadwala for a role in Housefull 2. Not just that, he even made sure Zarine makes a special appearance in the song Character Dheela in his upcoming comedy Ready.

Initially, the song was offered to Jacqueline Fernandez and Zarine was supposed to only make a fleeting appearance. But Salman made sure Zarine got ample footage in the song, and she and she alone gets to dance with him in the item song.

So Jacqueline was dropped and Zarine roped in on Salman’s insistence.
