Talladega

Talladega
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is on the longest winless streak of his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career but today's Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway could be just what the doctor ordered for the driver of car No. 88.
Junior has gained momentum in the first seven races of 2011. He was in contention at Daytona before being caught up in a late race accident and has since finished 12th or better the past six weeks. Currently riding sixth in points, Earnhardt, Jr. and crew chief Steve Letarte are off to a good start.

Dale, Jr. has more wins at Talladega than any other track, scoring five Sprint Cup victories at the 2.66-mile track.

Not a fan of the new two-car draft, "I don't really like the two-car stuff. It's, I don't know; just silly," Junior is confident his car will be fast on Sunday afternoon. It is the same car that won the pole for the 2011 Daytona 500 and was wrecked in Wednesday's practice prior to the 500.

"This is the car that we wrecked in practice at Daytona. They did a lot of hard work to get that car to Daytona and it was really, really fast and we were real proud of it; and I'm glad they got it put back together to have here this weekend. Hopefully we can put it in Victory Lane."
