NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers Draft: 4 Round Recap:

Pick #31: first round - Cameron Heyward – DE from Ohio State
This was a need selection for the Steelers, with all of their key defensive linemen other than Ziggy Hook 32 years or older. Insiders rave about his versatility, and love of the game.

Pick #63: second round - Marcus Gilbert - OT from Florida
Versatile, and huge. Questions include his short arms and lack of killer instinct. Remember that Maurkice Pouncey is also from Florida, so one can only assume he highly recommend Gilbert. Marcus is the son of a retired Secret Service agent.

Pick #95: third round - Curtis Brown – CB from Texas
Ranked as the 76th best prospect in the NFL draft by ESPN, this is a rare instance of the Pittsburgh Steelers benefiting from perceived value. Typically the Steelers rate factors such as character and flexibility more than the media scouts. Brown did not miss a single game due to injury during his collegiate career. Expected to be an excellent gunner on punt coverage.

Pick #128: fourth round – Cortez Allen – CB from Citadel
Elite height and impressive bulk. Citadel, as a military school, implies strong work ethic and discipline.
