The first of approximately 76 million Baby Boomers will soon turn 65, and four million will turn 60 each year for the next 18 years. For many, this milestone will present an opportunity to reassess their retirement preparedness. Nearly seven out of 10 boomers within five years of retirement are concerned about having adequate income during retirement, according to research by the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI).
o help raise public awareness of the need to plan for retirement, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) and the National Retirement Planning Coalition (NRPC), led by the IRI, will sponsor National Retirement Planning Week^® from April 11-15.
