Opening the doors to Indian Premier League action, the ticket sales for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala’s home matches were inaugurated here on Monday. Marking the occasion, Kochi Cricket Private Ltd co-chairman Mehul Shah handed over the first ticket to Federal Bank CEO and managing director Shyam Srinivasan. The Federal Bank is the bankiwwwng partner of KTK.

The tickets ranging from `400 to `15,000 will be sold in three modules - online, retail outlet sales at Federal Bank branches and through the counters at the venue.

Tickets for the grand stand, which offers a view from behind the sight-screen at the South End, are priced at Rs 15,000 while Rs 10,000 is the cost for tier II seats in the corporate box.

In other parts of the gallery, tier III tickets are available at Rs 400 while tier II costs Rs 600. Chairs, in tier I, range from Rs 1,000 to 5,000.

The online sales have got underway through www.kochiteam.com and www.kyazoonga.com <http://www.kyazoonga.com/>, the official ticketing partners.

The retail outlet sales will begin on April 5 while counters at the venue will start functioning three days before the opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, slated for April 9.

The KTK representatives pointed out that those buying season tickets for all the five matches can avail themselves of discount of 15 percent.

The official launch of the players will be held next week,co-owner Vivek Venugopal said. Coach Geoff Lawson, co-owners Dhawal Shah and Ranji Patel and Kyazoonga.com representative Nihar also attended the function alongside Kerala Cricket Association officials, including its president T R Balakrishnan.Stopping short of promising a triumph, Lawson said: “We will put in our best effort.”
