Ramya Kannada Actress |
Basanth Kumar Patil, President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce disclosed this information in a press conference held on Tuesday night.
There has been opposition to the decision of the Kannada film producers as three veteran producers K.C.N.Kumar, Soorappa Babu and Munirathna opposed this decision andcalled it unilateral and authoritarian.
Patil has also demanded an apology from actress Ramya for writing against film producer and director S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu and his yet to be released film Bhimoos Bang Bang in which she plays a vitla role.
Patil also found Pooja Gandhi's advise objectionable. She appeared in a media interview and went ahead to say that that artist should not choose films produced by A.Ganesh. He said that the chamber will be seeking a clarification from the actress within a week.
The KFCC meeting was attended by Kannada Film Directors` Association and Kannada Film Cinematographers` Association. The Kannada Film Employees` Association representatives were absent during the meeting. However, actor Ashok who is heading the Employees` Association has publicly announced that he will back the decision taken by the Artists` Association.
However, the Artists` Association did not participate in the Tuesday meeting called by the KFCC. Reacting to the decision taken at the meeting, Ambareesh, President of the Artists` Association said that, "High handedness and authoritative attidue is totally unaceptable".
Ramya who has been the prime focus in the entire controversy said that the decision is meaningless as she has already announced that she will quit the Kannada film industry. "I think it is a big joke", said Ramya.
Today, there is yet another meeting called by the KFCC in which the representatives of the Kannada Film Employees` Association are expected to participate.
