Plastic Surgery

Plastic Surgery
More men are getting plastic surgery as baby boomers reach retirement age, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
The group reports plastic surgery requests from men are up 2 percent.
Dr. Pablo Pritchard, a plastic surgeon at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, said men are coming in for a lot of things.
"In men, the fastest growing procedures are face lifts, ear surgery, liposuction, breast reduction, eyelid surgery and dermabrasions."
Male face lifts are up 14 percent while liposuction has jumped 7 percent.
Pritchard said that tells him a couple of things: "That there is a change in the economic environment, number one, and number two, it's telling me that probably a lot of the baby boomers who are ready to get surgery done have eventually decided that this is a good time to do it."
Pritchard said one of his patients wanted to look like Brett Favre, but he refused to do that surgery because it wasn't practical. He said many patients are baby boomers who just want to look good as they get older.
