The pop star was looking a little different when the Black Eyed Peas appeared on the hit reality singing competition, but the "Life As We Know It" actor claims it was just a change in the singer's beauty routine and spoke up on Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show on Thursday.
"I thought she looked amazing," he told Ryan Seacrest this morning, before going on to squash the speculation,"Duhamel told Seacrest. "It's amazing. You put a different color on your lips and, uh, rumors fly. But she's the same, she's the same Fergie... I sleep right next to her every night. I like it."
Duhamel, 38, organized a Youth Run 4 Japan to take place on Sunday, March 27 in Santa Monica to raise money for the American Red Cross' relief efforts for the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Sunday is also his wife's birthday and the couple celebrated in Las Vegas on Friday night at the Bank Nightclub.
"If you're like me," Duhamel wrote on the Reliefrun website, "you've seen the pain and suffering going on in Japan right now and really feel the need to help, to physically help -- to actually do something. Well, we can!"
Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson got her start on the children's television series "Kids Incorporated." Fergie joined the Black Eyed Peas in 2001 and has also released a solo album called "The Dutchess."
Fergie and Duhamel got married on January 10, 2009 after dating for five years. The couple met when the Black Eyed Peas performed on the actor's NBC show "Las Vegas."
