Changes afoot
With the launch of these two projects, HDB is also launching several changes to help flat buyers.
First, it will provide more information on upcoming BTO launches for the next two months to help flat buyers plan ahead and decide which BTO projects to apply for.
In the coming two months, BTO projects are planned for Hougang, Punggol, Sembawang, Sengkang (April) and Pasir Ris, Punggol, Tampines, and Woodlands (May).
Second, it will halve the time taken to invite applicants to select their flats.
The application period for submission of applications will be reduced to one week. Applicants will be informed of their ballot results within 3 weeks of the launch.
Selection of flats will start from the 4th week onwards, instead of the 9th week previously. The faster turnaround will enable applicants to know their queue number for the current launch, before deciding whether to apply for the next BTO launch.
Third, it will launch a new Mobile@HDB iPhone App to enable iPhone users to obtain the details of HDB sales launches on the go.
