The pop superstar was set to sit down with Ellen to tape a chat, as well as perform songs from her new album, Femme Fatale.
Spears was also rumored to be showing off her comedic skills in a series of skits.
However, fans will have to wait after Spears pulled out of her appearance because of scheduling issues.
A statement posted on Spears' Facebook page reads, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts on both ends. Trying to put it back together for a later date."
The postponement comes after Spears appeared on ABC's Good Morning America for a performance of hit songs Hold It Against Me and Till the World Ends.
