The visitors hold the ball up, waiting patiently for chances to open up as Blaise Matuidi sends in a testing low cross from the left. Quickly cleared by an alert Oleksandr Kucher.

Les Bleus are enjoying more of the ball, yet they've largely been kept at arm's length by Ukraine in the early exchanges. Loic Remy is penalised for a foul on Vycheslav Shevchuk

France get the game underway. Lots of empty seats around the Donbass Arena
Captains for the evening Bayern Munich's Anatoliy Tymoshchuk and Marseille's Steve Mandanda go through the pre-match formalities. France are in their tradiitional blue jerseys, whilst the hosts are in their distinct yellow kits.
National anthems are played at a noisy Donbass Arena in Donetsk. Kick off is not too far away.
Interesting team selection from the visitors, with Laurent Blanc ringing the changes from their woeful display away to Belarus on Friday. Les Bleus were held to a 1-1 draw in their Euro 2012 qualifier, and only Mamadou Sakho retains his place for tonight's encounter. Meanwhile, Ukraine are without captain and talisman Andriy Shevchenko
Ukraine line up as thus: Pyatov; Kucher, Shevchuk, Ischenko, Tymoshchuk, Rotan, Nazarenko, Husyev, Kobin, Voronin, Devic.
