Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan, and Minister for Transport Raymond Lim, will be retiring from the Cabinet.
PM Lee Hsien Loong announced this today at the press conference for Cabinet appointments.
PM Lee said that they have “served in challenging appointments and made many valuable contributions.”
He also commented that the three men had previously expressed a desire to step down, but he had asked them to stay on and help him fight the recently concluded General Election on May 7.
“Now that elections are over, they have reiterated that they do not wish to be reappointed,” he added.
PM Lee thanked the three outgoing ministers for their contributions.
