Pippa Middleton has angered Buckingham Palace officials with her extravagant plans for the post royal wedding bash.
The 27-year-old events organiser - whose elder sister Kate is marrying Britain's Prince William on Friday (29.04.11) - is reportedly at loggerheads with official aides over plans to turn the royal residence's throne room into a nightclub.
An insider revealed: "Pippa's choice of turning the throne room into a nightclub set-up went down like a lead balloon with palace aides, who tried to have it stopped.
"But William stepped in and insisted that he wanted the evening event to be very different from the formal champagne and canape reception being thrown by the queen immediately after the wedding. He wants to it be very young and cool, so the old guard caved in and gave their approval."
Pippa - who has taken two weeks off work to oversee the final details for the royal nuptials - is also said to have ruffled feathers over her catering choices, with William's father Prince Charles having to step in and demand his favourite company is used.
The source added to the Daily Mail newspaper: "Pippa has taken two weeks leave from her job at Table Talk to spend time with Kate and take full control of organising the wedding reception.
"Before she left she sat down with her boss, JoJo, and went through every last detail with a fine-tooth comb. They have organised everything from the flowers to the napkins and even helped chose the menu.
"Originally they wanted to use their own caterer, but then Prince Charles, who is funding the entertainment, stepped in and demanded they use his favourite, Mosimann's. It didn't go down well with the caterers Kate and her sister were intent on using, but there was nothing they could do."
Kate Middleton and Prince William will tie the knot at London's Westminster Abbey on Friday (29.04.11) in front of 1,900 guests before moving on to a private reception at Buckingham Palace, which will be hosted by the prince's grandmother Queen Elizabeth.
