Here's what to look forward to -- in addition to several important Hollywood people getting slimed -- when the award show airs at 8PM ET on Nick.
The Host: Jack Black will be officiating this year's ceremony; the third time the 41-year-old actor has hosted the show since 2006. Jack really gets into his duties with his usual amped-up, kid-at-heart attitude, as seen in this clip from his "press conference" about the awards show.
The Voting Categories: There are 20 categories that kids can vote on at the official 'KCA 2011' site. Among them are standards like Top TV Show, Favorite Music Group and Favorite Book. But there are also categories such as Favorite TV Sidekick, Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie and Favorite Buttkicker.
In this last category the nominees are Steve Carell for 'Despicable Me,' Jackie Chan for 'The Karate Kid,' Robert Downey Jr. for 'Iron Man 2' and Will Ferrell for 'Megamind.' In the clip below, Jack Black actually visits Will's house to let him know he was nominated.
The Presenters/Attendees: Like we said, the Kids' Choice Awards is not a third-rate awards show. Plenty of A-list talent shows up to present awards and, in some cases, get dumped with several gallons of green slime. Among the presenters for this year's show will be Nickelodeon mainstays Victoria Justice ('Victorious'), Miranda Cosgrove ('iCarly') and Josh Duhamel (voice of Oz on 'Fanboy and Chum Chum').
Others appearing are Russell Brand, Jason Segel of 'How I Met Your Mother,' Damon Wayans, Sofia Vergara of 'Modern Family,' Jane Lynch and Cory Monteith from 'Glee,' Lindsey Vonn, Danica Patrica, Nick Cannon, Shaun White and Jaden Smith.
Performers: Both the Black Eyed Peas and Willow Smith will perform during the award show as well as Nickelodeon's own Big Time Rush. In the pre-show telecast, which will air from 6PM to 8PM, Victoria Justice will perform one of the songs to be featured on the new 'Victorious' soundtrack.
Slime Stunts: Since 2002, the 'Kids Choice Awards' has embarked on a World Record Slime Stunt where either an athlete or a performer would land in or be doused by several thousand gallons of slime.
While we don't know yet what this year's stunt will be, it'll have to be epic to top previous slime fests such as this one from 2008, where host Jack Black and Orlando Bloom were slimed for more than a minute.
Since slime attacks can happen at any time, the presenters have to keep an eye out too. Presenters Sandra Bullock and Hugh Jackman got slimed back 2009.
And last year, Katy Perry got hit square in the nose with slime.
