Sri Lankan skipper opted to make many changes in their team as unlucky Mathews had to miss out the mega final due to injury and he has been replaced by fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara while Kapugedera replaced Chamara Silva in the team. Suraj Randiv also included in place of Herath while Perera replaced Mendis in the team.
India made one change as Nehra missed out due to injury and surprise inclusion was fast bowler Sreesanth who will be playing his second match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 as he was dropped after being treated severely by Bangladesh batsmen in the opening match.
The Sri Lankan team for the final is: Sangakkara, Tharanga, Dilshan, Jayawardene, Samaraweera, Kapugedera, Perera, Kulasekara, Malinga, Randiv, and Muralitharan.
The Indian squad for the final is: Dhoni, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Kohli, Gambhir, Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel, and Sreesanth.
