In an interview with People Magazine, Diaz says, "Justin and I have always had a good laugh together, and to make a movie where we get to have a laugh together. There really was no one else who was more perfect for this part. That's why he got the part."
The Press Association reports that according to Diaz, one of the only things she was concerned about was the rumors that might have sparked due to the pair filming and working close together.
"The only thing that I think we were concerned with was what people would make up," she said. "The stories that people would make up about us. We were hoping that wouldn't happen, because we're there to work, and we didn't want to have to be distracted by any of those things"
In Bad Teacher, Diaz plays a foul-mouthed teacher who is infatuated with a new addition to the faculty, a character played by Timberlake.
