The duo, who star as students from Fakirchand And Lakirchand Trust University take up each other's tales and cross-examining each other as they talk of their school years, growing up, best friends, second chances and their upcoming film:
Jackky Bhagnani: I never used to make fun of my school name because my school name was St Teresa's. But I remember making fun of my sister's school. She used to go in Avabai Petit School and I used to tease her saying that 'Wahan toh sirf bai padhne jaati hai'.
Puja Gupta : I too never made fun of my institution because I studied in a convent school too. But because it was a girl's convent, we used to call ourselves 'nuns'. There were no boys and no fun too (laughs).
Jackky Bhagnani: Accha! No boys no fun huh!
Puja Gupta : The most unforgettable moments I've spent in my institution has to be in the canteen. I was the sports captain so all my decisions were made on that canteen table. It's the best time of my life I've spent there.
Jackky Bhagnani: There was this professor in my school called Hartman Sir. He was an Anglo Indian. He was a fifty sixty year old man that time. In the seventh standard, he used to give 'sex' education. The funny part was the way he used to explain and say, "You don't come here to study, you come here to see the figure of young teachers" We used to be in splits. We then realized that girls aren't that bad. We should be a part of the girl gang too and mix with them. Even today when we friends meet we talk about the Hartman episode. It was truly unforgettable.
Puja Gupta : It was tough for me because my father passed away when I was fifteen year old and it was really tough for me. I never wanted to study because I was too scared at that time and wanted to enter Miss India pageant which I did.
Jackky Bhagnani: I was really looking forward to my college days. I had heard so much about ragging and this and that. I went to HR College of Commerce.
Puja Gupta : My best friend is Jyotsna. She is like me. She was a happy go lucky girl. There were times when we cheated. She had an eye sight problem. I used to learn things by heart back then. Even our role numbers were together. So when we used to sit for the exams, she sometimes used to take my sheet and fill it up and the fun began. I miss those days now.
Jackky Bhagnani: You know what? All my vices in life started because of my best friend Shubham. He made me have my first beer. He helped me go on a date with a girl in college. He was the first person to take me to Gym too.
Puja Gupta : Dude, I had a blast because it's my first movie. I am not from a movie background. I was surrounded by these three boys and at times I used to shout at them, yell at them, etc. I really missed the good times and forgot the bad times in my life. The chilling room had to be Chandan's room. He used to make his room very psychedelic by making it dark and grunge. Chandu's a cool guy. I will talk about Jackky a little later (laughs)
Jackky Bhagnani: Yeah yeah...I will see to it you talk about me. I miss the Mauritius schedule of F.A.L.T.U where we had a blast. I really got along well and bonded with Chandan Roy Sanyal quite well there. I knew Puja six to eight months before we started shooting the film. Chandan is a very frank guy and I like that about him. Once we were all sitting together and having a glass of wine. He said something that touched me, 'When I came from Delhi, I used to look at people like you and get very irritated because I thought that people like you must've got it very easy as you come from big families. But now that I know you so well, it's much more difficult for you. We at least get one chance to audition but sometimes you guys are not even called.' From that day onwards Chandan and I became very good friends.
Puja Gupta : Bhags, as I fondly call him, I've known Jackky the most from the other two boys. I'm in this movie because of him. He spotted me in this party. He is a sweet man but quite irritating at times. He used to play a lot of pranks on me. And he isn't serious at all. Look at his face right now (laughs). I was taken care of the most on the sets being the only girl.
Jackky Bhagnani: The word F.A.L.T.U was born from a collective idea of dad, Remo, Sachin Bajaj who was involved with the story at that time. F.A.L.T.U was the apt word. Many well wishers told me why we were calling the film F.A.L.T.U, especially when the director is new and my first film didn't work. We aren't trying to say that anybody and everybody is a F.A.L.T.U. Everybody gets a fair chance. Everyone pointed fingers at me after my first film but today if F.A.L.T.U works, the same people will take back their words and you know what happens after that I'm sure...By the way; F.A.L.T.U is the abbreviation of Fakirchand And Lakirchand Trust University.
